Hat’s off to Majnoon and the folks at ebjuris for the new Articles Submission plugin.
I’ve noticed a couple of things though.
1. I would like to use the Fckeditor when editing articles through Admin Panel » Manage article » Edit Article. This is so I can insert text and graphic affiliate links into the articles. I don’t seem to be able to do this now.
2. Secondly, I cannot figure out how to add banners to the pages where the articles are.
Any thoughts on those two items?
I’m using Version 2.2.02 with the default template.

I am wondering how to install this article submit plugin. I don’t see any install instructions anywhere? I uploaded it, appended the htaccess file but need to know what else I may need to do.

I figured out how to go into admin and install the plugin by running the install.xml file but now when I go to the site url http://www.texas-electric-companies I get the error: Error occured. Please see the logs or report an error to the administrator. Do you have an idea of why this may have happened?
March 29th, 2008 at 10:26 am
Now I have the plugin installed but when I click on “submit article” on the front page of my site I get a blank page and the url says: http://www.texas-electric-companies.com/submit-article.php?id=0
Any idea why this may be happening?

Installed the Article Plug-in, adjusted .htaccess file, see the Article Block, but it shows an ‘error’ saying “Requested URL not found (404).” Any suggestions? Looks like a very cool plug-in. Thank you.

Installed the Article Plug-in, adjusted .htaccess file, see the Article Block, but it shows an ‘error’ saying “Requested URL not found (404).”
not how to write this in the .htaccess , to write, no longer allowed to enter under sections
# mod_rewrite rules for article page
RewriteRule ^article/(.*)-a([0-9]+).html$ article.php?title=$1&id=$2 [QSA,L]
RewriteRule ^article.html$ article.php [QSA,L]
RewriteRule ^article([0-9]+).html$ article.php?page=$1 [QSA,L]

Hi guys
those of you who are having 404 error after installinhg please make sure that your htaccess code gose after this code.
# mod_rewrite rules for view listing page
RewriteRule ^([^/]+)-l([0-9]+).html$ view-listing.php?cat=&title=$1&id=$2 [QSA,L]
RewriteRule ^(.*)/([^/]+)-l([0-9]+).html$ view-listing.php?cat=$1&title=$2&id=$3
if you put it under this code your problem will hopefully be sorted.
good luck.

Hi guys, Great Plugin!
I would love to use this on my unicode website, but all charachters appear as question marks (ie: ?????????)

Great plugin.
One problem I cannot solve is the javascript counter does not work on the ’submit article’ page. The initial values (300, 4000 etc) do not show initially, and nothing shows as typing is done in textarea either. There are no errors displayed. The javascript works on the ’submit listing’ page, so js is enabled.
Can you please suggest a cure?

Thanks for a plugin, I understand with the installation part two, but don’t understand what I have to do with “Please append following rules to your .htaccess “(installation instruction) or you said above “no longer allowed to enter under sections” Please, admin step by step.
In generally I don’t understand in which place or file I have input this Mode text. Sorry , I am a little bit fullish.

Hey hey, new owners! I’ve upgraded to latest esyndicat - 2.2.06 - is there an upgrade available for this plugin? It has the following errors in ‘manage plugins’ page:
C:/wamp/www/\public_html\template/article.tpl
C:/wamp/www/\public_html\template/submit-article.tpl
C:/wamp/www/\public_html\template/submit-article2.tpl
C:/wamp/www/\public_html\template/submit-article3.tpl
Thanks for your reply

So you bought this site and all the plug-ins. Now it would be nice if you maintained the plug-in so it continues to work with the latest version of Esyndicat, otherwise what you bought will very soon have Zero Value.

The article plugin has worked fine until the latest esyndicat - 2.2.06. Is there an upgrade available for this plugin? I know this question has already been asked but I can’t see a reply.
Can you please help?

Hi Majnoon, (smile)
You seem to be a wiz at this. I’ve tried to install the article plugin and followed directions but ultimately got the 404 when clicked on trying to view article. How much for you to troubleshoot this plugin and get it going for us? Also, is there a way to have articles appear AFTER the directory listing in the category?
Thanks Crystal
p.s. low budget please

Now result season is going on and results are not that positive in broader terms. More or less results are mix for Indian companies. Still Regards Indian stock market requires one triggering point which can give clear trend in the market.
Still Nifty is in mix zone. Nifty will be bullish only if Nifty manages to trade and sustain above 3150-3200 level below these levels bears will rule the dalaal street.
Few Stocks to stay away from for short term
1. DLF
2. Satyam comp
3. Bharti Airtel
4. Tata steel
5. Rcom
Please feel free to contact us for any query.

I discovered the benefit of bookmarking as a medium of promoting websites. I checked my friend’s way of using bookmarks for his site and now I check it on my side.

Hi,
This mod should be part of the main script and not a plugin. Your plugin idea is good but surely you can see that there are 10+ things wrong or missing, not to mention unknown bugs. categories, banners, etc, etc.

Awesome mod!
Thank you for releasing it. My users responded really well to it on http://www.winederfull.com
Thanks again.
